It began its expansion by commencing operations in Zambia in 2008, with currently 47 fuel stations in operation. Further, the company launched its presence in DRC under Sun Fuel SARL in 2011. By 2012, Lake Oil expanded to Burundi. In 2017, Lake Oil Ltd further expanded to Kenya. In 2020, it expanded to Mozambique as Lake Oil LDA.
